It’s the best thing ever when you find people who, in addition to their friendship, you have the ability to reciprocate and thrive off each other’s creativity. The amount of both personal and professional growth that’s occurred the past ~4 months is wild.

I don’t know though when it’s supposed to stop feeling like it’s just been a couple days since we talked last because one or both of us had work.

“Well, I’m ‘bout to get on the train, baby, I’ll call ya when I get to Longview.”

I can hear his voice saying “well hey there, bitteen! Tell me something good!”, I can see him opening the screen door to let us in, I can smell his body wash mixed with the little bit of oil on his hands that won’t wash off, I can feel his warm-ass hugs.

Clear as day, all of it.

He feels so far, but so close.
